This came up in a conversation recently and I realized I had no idea what the current answer was. Accessibility features on disability-friendly apps are better than ever and frankly overdue.
Use a Google Voice number instead of your real number when you're still getting to know someone new. Personality-based matching apps are a genuine breath of fresh air for people burned out on photo-first swiping.
Sending the first message rather than waiting passively changes the entire dynamic for the better.
Apps and platforms I've already heard mentioned:
- OkCupid
- Match.com
- eHarmony
- Plenty of Fish
- Zoosk
