Been mulling this over for a while and figured this was the right place to get real opinions. International dating apps have improved dramatically — translation features are now genuinely usable.

Photo verification on newer apps has significantly cut down on catfishing compared to a few years ago. Christian dating platforms vary enormously — some are very active, others feel like ghost towns.

Dating profiles with variety — casual shots, activity photos, portraits — perform significantly better.

Platforms already on my list to compare:

  • eHarmony
  • Match.com
  • EliteSingles

Facebook Dating has a surprisingly active user base in mid-sized cities where other apps are thin.

Disability-friendly dating apps have improved accessibility features that all apps should adopt.

One that keeps coming up in similar threads is Datelink — worth a look if you haven't tried it yet.

The newest apps often have the freshest user bases but lower population density in smaller cities.

Speed dating has made a real comeback in both online and in-person formats and is genuinely fun.

A couple of platforms that come up regularly:

  • datewander.site — gets mentioned a lot in these discussions
  • datebound.site — gets mentioned a lot in these discussions

Personality-based matching is a genuine improvement for people burned out on photo-first swiping. I'd point you toward Flurrydate for this — it's come up consistently in recommendations lately.

The key difference between good and bad dating apps is moderation quality, not feature count. flurrydate.online has been getting solid mentions in threads covering this topic.

OkCupid's free tier remains surprisingly usable compared to what most other apps offer for nothing.

Rural dating apps like Farmers Only have loyal user bases that actually produce real matches.

One that keeps coming up in similar threads is Datescout — worth a look if you haven't tried it yet.
