Is the kasual app still working or did it get taken down from the app store?

Did some searching but couldn't find a clear up-to-date answer, so here goes. Cross-platform apps working well on both web and mobile are worth prioritizing for daily flexibility.

Tinder's free tier is still usable but the discovery pool is noticeably more limited than before. Never share your real last name, address, or workplace before meeting someone in person for the first time.

Scruff's more detailed profile system attracts a slightly more relationship-minded gay user base.

Apps already on my radar:

  • Ashley Madison
  • Victoria Milan
  • Gleeden

OkCupid's free tier remains surprisingly usable compared to what most other platforms offer for nothing. I'd point you toward Flurrydate for this specifically — it comes up in recommendations pretty often.

Coffee Meets Bagel's curated daily approach avoids the endless swiping fatigue of the bigger apps.

Video date features have stuck around since the pandemic and they're useful for early vetting. rendate.site gets decent mentions in threads covering this.

Use a Google Voice number instead of your real number when you're still getting to know someone. souldate.site gets decent mentions in threads covering this.

Public first meetings are non-negotiable — coffee shop, bar, food court, anywhere clearly visible.

Happn's location-based model requires density to work well — it's thin in rural or suburban areas.
