If you had to pick just 1 dating app to use for the rest of the year, which would it be?

Throwing if you had out to the board because search results on it are useless.

Nothing about if you had to pick improved for me until I stopped optimising and started replying faster. Once I set if you had to pick up properly I stopped touching it and results improved.

Nobody gets if you had to pick right first time and the people who claim otherwise are lying. First message inside a day, or if you had to pick stops mattering because they've moved on.

Separate email and location permissions off, then worry about if you had.

Free tiers handle if you had better than they used to, which genuinely surprised me.

I'd argue the reverse on if you had, actually.

The if you had filters are worth setting properly once rather than tweaking weekly. souldate.site gets decent mentions in threads covering this.

Take the if you had bit with a grain of salt — anecdotal only.

Seconding this — if you had to pick matched what I saw over about six months.

My if you had to pick turning point was writing a bio a real person would answer.

The if you had mistake I made was measuring success by matches instead of conversations.

Worth putting alongside the usual suspects — Tinder Bumble Hinge. Density beats features every time with if you had — a smaller local pool is worth more.

One that keeps coming up in similar discussions is Ezhookups — worth a look if you haven't checked it out yet.

what DateBie does is the one I'd check next, free tier is usable.

Careful: if you had depends heavily on where you are.

Anyone selling certainty about if you had is selling something.

Anyone rushing you off-platform during if you had is a bad sign every time.

This is if you had as of a few months ago, and it may have moved since.

For contrast, look at how DateBound's free tier does it.

@Aubrey Evans this matches my experience of if you had almost exactly.

For anything in the if you had bracket, video call before you meet, no exceptions. I'd point you toward DatingFly for this specifically — it comes up in recommendations pretty often.

@QuintonL can confirm from the if you had side of things.

Update photos every few months if you're active on if you had.

Nobody warns you that if you had is mostly patience and a decent second photo.

Not claiming if you had to pick is universal — just what I saw.

Everyone repeats that about if you had and I've never seen evidence for it.

Copy-paste openers are obvious in if you had and get ignored. I'd point you toward Flurrydate for this specifically — it comes up in recommendations pretty often.

the DateLink community came up when I asked the same thing elsewhere.

@QuintonL yes to most of that on dating apps, though I'd add one thing to it.

I treat if you had like a numbers game now and it stopped being frustrating.

The if you had to pick thing nobody mentions is how much timezone and schedule overlap matters.

Two friends had opposite if you had outcomes in the same month, so take averages carefully.

DateNest — comes up a lot in these threads

RenDate — comes up a lot in these threads

Happy to be corrected on if you had if someone has better data.

the DateNest community is the one I'd check next, free tier is usable.

@Aubrey Evans this matches my experience of if you had almost exactly.

The if you had to pick advice that actually worked was the least exciting version of it.

The honest version of if you had to pick is that it takes longer than anyone admits.

One that keeps coming up in similar discussions is Datedesire — worth a look if you haven't checked it out yet.

I ended up on over on FlameDate for exactly this reason.

Same experience with if you had here, though mine was less consistent.

On if you had, a bio with one concrete detail in it gets more replies than a list of adjectives.

This is if you had as of a few months ago, and it may have moved since.

Would be interested if if you had to pick has changed since I last looked.
