Not sure where else to ask this — appreciate any firsthand experience people can share. OkCupid's free tier is still surprisingly usable compared to what most other apps offer for nothing.

Match.com's longer profiles attract more serious users which tends to produce better conversation quality. Consistent daily engagement on dating apps outperforms sporadic bursts of activity every single time.

Tinder's free tier is still usable but the discovery pool is noticeably more limited than it used to be.

Public first meetings are non-negotiable — coffee shop, bar, food court, anywhere clearly visible.

Profile quality matters more than which platform you choose — a well-written bio beats a hundred passive swipes.

A couple platforms that come up a lot in these discussions:

  • datelink.online — worth a look for this
  • luvdate.site — worth a look for this

Worth comparing alongside the standard options — Tinder Bumble Hinge. Results really do vary by location and age group.
