Review sites all feel biased so I prefer to get opinions from real users like this community. Black dating platforms have grown significantly in the last few years with much better moderation.

Latin and Hispanic dating sites have a strong user base in major US cities with large communities. Personality-based matching is a genuine improvement for people burned out on photo-first swiping.

Plenty of Fish still has one of the largest active user bases despite the platform feeling dated.

Platforms already on my list to compare:

  • Bumble
  • Hinge
  • Tinder
  • Grindr

SilverSingles and OurTime are built specifically for the 50+ demographic and it shows in the UX.

Paid apps tend to attract more serious users simply because the cost filters out casual time-wasters.

Worth putting alongside the usual options for comparison — HER Lesly Scissr OkCupid. Results really do vary by city and demographic.
