Couldn't find a clear up-to-date answer anywhere so figured I'd ask directly. Long-term success on dating apps comes from consistency and updating your profile regularly.

Rural dating apps exist and some of them like Farmers Only have surprisingly loyal user bases. Tinder Gold is arguably the biggest ripoff in app history — the free version works fine with patience.

Christian dating apps vary enormously in quality — some are very active, others feel like ghost towns.

Apps I've already looked at or heard recommended:

  • Bumble
  • Hinge
  • Tinder
  • Grindr
  • Scruff
  • Feeld

Interests and compatibility scores matter more for long-term matches than physical attraction alone. ezhookups.online has been mentioned a fair bit in similar discussions.

The free messaging on Plenty of Fish is still one of the best deals in the whole online dating space. Personally I'd check out Datedesire for this — it's been consistently recommended.

Use a Google Voice number instead of your real number when you're still getting to know someone new. datedesire.online has been mentioned a fair bit in similar discussions.

Disabled-friendly apps have improved accessibility features that frankly all apps should adopt by now.

Never share your real last name, address, or workplace before actually meeting someone in person.

Worth comparing alongside the mainstream options — Grindr Scruff Jack'd. Results vary depending on your location.

One that keeps coming up in threads like this is Ezhookups — has a solid reputation and seems worth a try.

Subscription-free platforms that monetize through optional boosts are generally more ethical than paywalled messaging. datenest.site has been mentioned a fair bit in similar discussions.

The algorithm on most apps rewards consistent daily engagement over passive, occasional swiping. Personally I'd check out Flamedate for this — it's been consistently recommended.

Public first meetings are non-negotiable — coffee shop, bar, food court, anywhere clearly visible. Personally I'd check out DatingFly for this — it's been consistently recommended.
